Coach Brock enters his 13th season at Nelson and his fourth as Head Coach.. A member of the Physical Education Department, Coach Brock played his University football for the Queen's Golden Gaels. Coach Brock is also the Offensive Co-Ordinator and responsible for Special Teams. Jeff also coaches for the Burlington Stampeders JV Rep (OC) team and has won 3 Provincial titles at Nelson (2005, 2011, 2016).

Coach Messier enters his 19th season with the Lords. As Defensive Coordinator, Mess also works with the Linebackers group and has been a part of four of the Lords five Provincial titles. A graduate of Central Michigan University, Coach Messier is also the Athletic Director at Nelson HS. Coach Finch returns for a sixth season with the SR Lords after coaching Junior since 2009. His knowledge of the Quarterback position is reflected in his son Will, retired Western Mustangs QB and former all-star Quarterback at Nelson. Mike is recently retired from teaching.

Coach Philip is back for his seventh season at Nelson. A volunteer coach who has coached at many levels in the past including the CJFL, Philip will work with the Defensive Backs. Jerry is currently the Head Coach of the Burlington Stampeders JV AAA Team. Coach Philip played University football for York and played in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos. He has been a part of two Provincial titles (2011 & 2016) Coach Hoffner returns for a fifth season with the Lords. A longtime coach at many levels with the Burlington Minor Football Association, Coach Hoffner is currently the President of the BMFA. Randy's oldest son Zach is a 2nd year LB at McMaster and youngest son Taylor will anchor the OL for the Lords.

Coach Emo joins the Lords for the 2017 season. His coaching career includes many accolades and accomplishments at football from USports to the minor system. Coach Emo is currently the head coach of the Oakville Longhorns in the NFC. Edna returns for a fourth season with the Lords to carry out administrative duties. Both Edna's sons (Connor and Tyler) are former Lord WRs. Edna's effort and support of the program are unmatched.

Josh joins the Lords as a Coach for the first time following a solid career as a McMaster Marauder. A former Lord, Josh was instrumental in the 2011 Golden Horseshoe Bowl Championship as a receiver. Coach Vandweerd will be a fantastic addition to the Lords football program. Dave continues with the Nelson program this year providing our athletes with top of the line medical care and rehabilitation. With the growth of his clinic 'Burlington Sport & Spine' in the Nelson area, Dave continues to be a vital part of Nelson Lords athletics.

Coach Mlekuz returns for an amazing 24th season with the Junior Lords. As a volunteer coach his dedication to the program is unmatched. Mlekuz has won two provincial Jr. Titles and numerous Halton Championships. A dentist during the day, Coach Mlekuz has seen all of his sons play for the Lords. Nick was awarded the McMaster HS Coaching Achievement Award in 2015.

Coach Prickett is back for his seventh season in red and gold. He spent many years teaching and coaching at Ridley College before moving to Nelson. A math teacher, Coach Prickett will Co-ordinate the Lords defence again in 2017. Coach McCammon is back for his 17th season with the Lords. His tireless efforts to equip and maintain both teams allow the red and gold to be successful on the field.

Coach Plawiuk returns to Nelson for a third season. Dan played at Aldershot HS before spending some time with the McMaster Marauders as a Linebacker. Coach Plawiuk coached HS in Toronto and also in the QJFL prior to arriving at Nelson. Dan has become a valuable member of the JR Lords staff. Coach Hooper will return to the Lords for a third season in 2017. Chris also spend time coaching minor football with the Burlington Stampeders and past season with the Hamilton Jr Ticats. Coach Hooper's son Carter will play his Grade 10 season for the Jr Lords in 2017.

Coach Moore joins the Jr Lords program after spending time at Pearson HS coaching the Patriots. Michael is a new addition to the Physical Education program and will bring experience and in-school support in his role with the Jr Lords!   Jen returns as the Lords team manager for the 2017 season. Her sons have all been or will be memebers of the football program over the next few seasons. Jen will handle all team administrative duties.
